How Payment Works

Payment creates account: When you make payment, you'll be directed to a one-time display page showing:

  • Client token - Your 10-byte account identifier and authentication credential (save this!)
  • Encryption key - Generated from your token, use this to encrypt your letter
  • Mailing list form - Submit recipient email addresses (becomes immutable)
  • Instructions - How to encrypt, where to store, template for recipients
  • Client app download - Android app for check-ins

Critical: Information shown only once. Save your token immediately - it cannot be recovered if lost. The encryption key can be regenerated from your token if needed.

After payment: Check back within 24 hours. When reconciled, visit this site and you'll see your credentials on a one-time display page. Save immediately - no email confirmation sent, no recovery possible.

Cryptocurrency (Planned)

Monero (XMR) and Bitcoin (BTC) payment options coming soon. Include your token in payment memo field.

Extending Your Protection

Return to this website whenever you need to extend the period covered. Make an additional payment with your token in the reference - your account balance increases and termination date moves forward accordingly.

Standing Orders: After your initial payment, you can set up a monthly standing order through your bank. Include your token in the standing order reference. This keeps your termination date at a fixed distance into the future indefinitely - set it and forget it.

Important: Payments only extend coverage if made before the termination date passes. Once terminated, you must check in one final time to prevent key release, or accept that the deadline will expire.

Next Steps After Payment

  1. Save credentials: Store token securely (encryption key can be regenerated from token if needed)
  2. Submit mailing list: Provide recipient email addresses (immutable after submission)
  3. Create letter: Write document containing information to protect
  4. Encrypt letter: Use provided key with GPG or similar tool
  5. Post encrypted file: Upload to Usenet, IPFS, or other permanent storage
  6. Inform recipients: Use provided template to explain what they'll receive if key is released
  7. Download client app: Install on phone for regular check-ins
  8. Check in regularly: Reset deadline before it expires
